Yin Yoga Teacher Training
50 hour Yin Yoga Training – Spain
With Zoe Nash & Tobie Tomkinson
5th -11th September 2026
50 HOURS CONTINUED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT / DEEP DIVE IMMERSION.
OPEN TO ALL!
Yin Yoga is becoming increasingly popular—perhaps as a natural response to the pace of modern life, fast-moving technology, and the constant pull of “busy.” It offers a beautiful counterbalance to more dynamic, Yang-style practices. Slow, meditative, and mindful, Yin invites us to press pause, soften, and truly arrive. Most postures are floor-based and held for one to five minutes, giving us time to meet the places we resist and the layers those places touch—muscles, connective tissue, and the nervous system, as well as breath, emotions, awareness, and states of consciousness.
With time and attention, we begin to ask deeper questions: what is sensation, really? How do we relate to what arises—whether it shows up as stretch in the body, discomfort in the mind, or emotion in the heart? Yin becomes a practice of listening and releasing, less about forcing and more about allowing.
While we’ll explore muscles, fascia, myofascial chains, and the connective tissues, Yin is far more than a physical practice. It’s also a powerful doorway into one of yoga’s foundational teachings: the Koshas—the layers of our being. Because the pace is slower, there’s also space to explore the Traditional Chinese Medicine meridian lines, moving through sequences that support physical, emotional, and energetic balance in harmony with the Daoist elements.
Learning to teach Yin is a beautiful opportunity to guide others into stillness and self-inquiry, while also creating room to weave in philosophy, meditation, story, poetry, and whatever you most love to share. As always at Ashiyana, we’ll explore tools and experiences together while encouraging you to find your own voice and style—and to teach from the heart

After the yin training with Zoe and Tobie at Ashiyana Spain I not only feel inspired to share yin yoga with deeper knowledge and skills. I’ve been reminded of the importance of coming back to the mat as a student. To receive, be held and to keep on filling up my own cup as a teacher. It’s non-negotiable.
I feel reconnected to myself and my path.
Some Personal Background
I have developed a passionate curiosity about the integral relationship between the ZangFu—the yin and yang organ pairs—their Spirits and our emotions. This inquiry has led me to deepen my journey as therapist, yoga practitioner and teacher by bringing my wisdom of the body from the acupuncture table the yoga mat. I completed a 300-hour Vinyasa YTT, and then her 500-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Beta Lisboa in 2013.
I intend to bring a unique perspective and TCM-infused wisdom to the yoga mat in classes that inspire and illuminate the interrelation between the meridians and the related ZangFu. So my students leave invigorated with a newly felt sense of connection between body, mind and spirit, and a reverent appreciation for the intricate interconnections coursing throughout our beings.
Having Zoe as a Chinese Medicine and Yin Yoga Teacher opened a new world to me, a world of integration of different disciplines in a deep, high competent and fascinating way. Her confident and warm approach not only prepared my journey in the way I wished to in these two completely new disciplines to me, but gave me two of the most priceless gifts: calm and inspiration.
It was a step asking her for an acupuncture session which, even more than expected, completed and deepened that journey, afterwards leaving a feeling of my body, my mind and my soul in a beautiful stillness and full of compassion.
There is no other option to me than recommend a professional and personal contact to her, the benefits of both will certainly leave a sign and will stay with you for a long time.
